Holy Crap

alright i just randomly decided to take a look at my profile info and....well it says that I'm 20 years old, guess I 'm a little behind huh? I'm gonna be 25 in July. Jeezy Creezy were was I at 20...I lived with Nan, Maia, bill and Aaron. I didn't drink, smoke have sex nothin..well I still don't smoke but, anyways, I worked at Magic Mountain as a stage tech, I hadn't remet up with Ben yet. Now I've worked with animals for what seems like forever, I drink....maybe to much, I've lived in 2 other cities (tehachapi and now Bakersfield) I'm back in school, and I defanitly just can't realy remember what it was like to not live with Ben. I just picture him in every part of my life and he doesn't even know everyone in lancaster that were, and are, still such a big part of my life. That probably sounds cheesy but I don't know what I did without that guy he's just blended into my life like he was always there, since I met him realy...huh alot can change in 5 years, realy everything can change in 5 years I guess.Even Ricky who is one of my best friends in the world Ben has only met him a handfull of times he only knew ricky in the army days. Strange how the person who is the biggest part of my daily life has been a part of it for such a short amount of time realy, 3 1/2 years or so, but holy crap is he important! Weird, it's making my head sore so I'm gonna have another glass of wine and take a bath and pass out, I gotta go to work tomorrow I don't have the time for this shit :)

Splendid!

I got a job today. I have abandoned my career as a veterinary technician because I am tired of strange doctors and control freak office managers. Now I just work at a kennel. I spend all day outside which is awesome because for some reason the treatment and surgery rooms in vet hospitals never have any widows and for the last 3 years I missed out on some very important time in the sun and the air! I clean up poop, exercise, feed and medicate dogs. I repair and build fences haul large bags of dog food and sometimes dig ditches, but I spend all day outside with the animals instead of inside with the people and that is how I like it. The pay is the same but the responsablitlity is less and I don't have to put anything to sleep or worse watch animals die a slow painfull death. So on that happy note lets do a Hauk patentented
\
10 good things!!!\
1. My new house has enough floor space to play twister!
2. The oatmeal stout I bottled is freaken deliciouse!
3.New favorite cookie! Take the oatmeal that you boil with the rest of the beer ingrediants...and make oatmeal cookies!!!holy crap their good I am so smart!
4. I have a new job that allows me to get outside, Heeeellllloooo Mr Sun
5. I have a room full of book shelves, a popasan chair and a globe..it's like a little library!
6.I planted orange and purple daisies, roses and lavender in my garden out front!
7. I finaly opened the box with Mr Potato head! I thoguht he was gone forever!
8. I played my drum today and there were no neighbors to bang on my walls
9. The gym that ben singed me and himself up for has yoga and a pool
10. For some reason Ben loves me and I his guts! That's awesome

Moved Again

ok so this thing says that it has been 23 weeks since I posted something; I hadn't realized it had been that long! But here's the deal, I moved again..but this time it should be the last time for at least five years or so. Ben and I bought a house. It is in Bakersfield which takes me futher from the AV but not insurmountably so. I still have a good car. It is alot closer to school though. School is going well. I'm getting good grades and all of that nonsense. I'm looking for a job down here. I was comuting and working down here at a Vet hospital but the doctor and I didn't agree on much: I thought we were here to save the animals he seemed to disagree. I ended that job by throwing my key and walking out. I am off to a job interview here in a few minutes at a boarding kennel. I might be happier just taking care of animals instead of having to put them to sleep or watch them die slowly. I miss not being on the medical end of stuff but I don't miss the weird doctors or their insane office managers.

All in all I'm doing great. Just bottled a batch of beer and a batch of mead in the new house, gonna have a house warming party at some point when Ben has a weekend off. If anyone should find themselves in the slightly smelly valley that I now call home give me a call!

But then it's mojito hammock time, I'm pretty useless when Bens gone it's my lazy time.

K so the new job is going pretty well, I'm ajusting to the way they do stuff there. Wich is different, and learning how to anestatize (sp?) animals a little scary taking that one slow. But I think I'll kinda slide into a groove there seems cool I should be able to get the day off for pagan pride day yey! We all take turns working saturday apparently, I'll have to work alot of them but aparently I'll have like one in three off so that works for me.

All registered for fall classes so school starts here in a bout a month still have to get books and such but that should be manageable. Things are going realy well actualy.

Never again will I boil honey water outside in the morning! Last time I did it later in the evening and I think that it helped with the bee infestation that happens as soon as that sticky sweet smell hits the air. I managed not to get stung though *knock on wood* That was rediculouse! But using the turkey fryer is way faster than the stove and theres no chance of making a huge sticky mess in my kitchen so I guess it's worth it. Mission one accomplished. Now I just have to go givemy dog a hair cut and my todo list is mostly done for the day

Early riser

Weird I got up with Ben thins morning but usualy I go back to sleep afterwards, today I went outside and putsed around in my garden. Trimming herbs drying some makeing a smelly good bundle out of lemon verbena lavender and roses for my new car. I like the new car smell but I like the fresh herb smell better. I think since I am awake I am going to brew up my other batch of mead and get it going I already got one going. It's blueberry jasmin flavored. My cousin sent me this ms dos program thingy that's a recipie index of some sort but it's pretty cool. I'm gonna get a plain ol traditional honey mead going today or I might have a few very upset firefighters on my hands. Some wives and girlfriends bring them baked goods I bring home made alcohl. But what can I say I'm kick ass!

And I will be going to the AV pagans moot horray for the new car. I don't have to feel trapted any more wich is a spectacular thing! I can come visit everyone again. I am no longer stuck up on the mountain! Ben with unfortunatly have to meet everyone another time though since he got called in to work overtime.

1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the next 4-7 sentences of that book (and these instructions) on your own LJ along with these instructions.
5. Don't you dare dig for that "cool" or "intellectual" book in your closet! I know you were thinking about it! Just pick up whatever is closest (unless it's too troublesome to reach and is really heavy. Then go back to step 1).

Well I didn't have to dig for an intelectual book since the nearest book was Nietzche. My neighbor just loaned it to me. 123 is the essay "The Birth Of Tragedy"

"Let no one try to blight our faith in a yet-impending rebirth of Hellenic antiquity; for this alone give us hope for a renevation and purification of the German spirit through the fire magic of music. What else could we name that could awaken any comforting expectations for the futur in the midst of the desolation and exaustion of contemperary cultur? In vain we look for a sing vigorously developed root, for a spot of fertile and healthy soil: everywere there is dust and sand; everything has become rigid and languishes. One who is disconcilate and lonley could not choose a better symbol than the knight with death and devil, as Durer has drawn him for us, the armored knight with the iron, hard lookwho knows how to persue his terrible path, undetered by his gruesome companions, and yet with out hope, alone with his horse and dog. Our Schopenhaur was such a durer knight; he lacked all hope, but he desired truth. He has no peers."

And just for fun, since it was also near

Shakespeare's 123rd sonnet

No, Time, thou shalt not boast that I do change:
Thy pyramids built up with newer might
To me are nothing novel, nothing strange;
They are but dressings of a former sight.
Our dates are brief, and therefore we admire
What thou dost foist upon us that is old;
And rather make them born to our desire
Than think that we before have heard them told.
Thy registers and thee I both defy,
Not wondering at the present nor the past,
For thy records and what we see doth lie,
Made more or less by thy continual haste.
This I do vow and this shall ever be;
I will be true despite thy scythe and thee.

Fuck IT

I give up I am off friday and saturday and I have decided that Ben and i are going to ventura, why ventura because I want to go to the beach and they were the nices hotel with the best employee rate I could find. Since I work for Holiday inn I can get a room at the Crown Plaza right on the beach there for $39, I'm going to go swim in the ocean probubly bake in the sun and hang out with my honey and forget the word "job"

I've got plenty of skills that should be marketable, vet tech for two years, stage technician wich includes construction and some electrician work (can't get jobs doing that though cuz I don't have a penis, forget the fact that I'm good at it. no cock no job) retail, management, photography, hospitality, cook, pyro loader. My resume looks kinda funny but everywere I go they say it is impressive. Whatever that means since I still can't find a job in this stupid little town. Tryed to get a job out at the wind mills even since I'm good with heighs and I have electrical experience, but everyone will just give my secretarial work, wich is stupid and I hate is. I hate paper work and the phone and have very little patience with stupid people so secretary is not my cup o tea. Couldn't even get a job doing finishing work for construction, painting and carpeting and cabinets and such. Apparently the circus is in town, and hiring, but Ben was very upset when I joked about running away to join the circus so...

So fuck it. If I can just get to friday I'm taking advantage of the one perk this job offers, cheap hotel rooms and going to the beach for two days.

Baby Jesus Butt plug batman

Sheesh so I just got done taking pictures and hanging out in my back yard and saying how much I loved it. We've even got humming birds now, It's so nice out there. I heard Bens brother knock on the door but I ignored it, Ben doesn't get home until friday morning and I've been sleepy and trying to shake a cold. I came in and fell asleep in my favorite chair reading a book. (the new Stephen King "Lisey's Story" not a huge King fan but this one is so good!) He knocks on the door again and I mumble something sleepy and roll over and go back to sleep. Then my neighbore calls aparently he's been standing in the front yard for possably hours so I go out there half asleep and he wants to store his huge dirty gas leaking dirt bike in my back yard that we just put all kinds of time money and effort into. I proceed to tell him in polite but uncertain terms "Hell no" I'm the bad guy when does Ben come home he's pretty sure Ben would say yes, well boy-o I pay rent here to and that is not going in my new back yard I have been ever so patiently nursing back to health for almost a month now. I called Ben and warned him that Steve might try the divide an conquere tactics like we were his parents but luckily he agrees on the hell no call. (I've been sending him pictures of me and the animals playing in the backyard all afternoon) I hate having to be the bad guy but...NO!

Man plus Ben is working overtime so he won't even be home until friday moring. 5 whole days without my Ben-jamin' what am I to do. I think I'm gonna go curl up in my chair and watch ghost rider I just stole from my neighbor

Been gone for a while

I found a new hoby. Ben and I tore apart our back yard and put in a lawn and 2 gardens. One with flowers and one, being the good little witch that I sometimes am, an herb garden. My back yard is so happy! I love it I love it I love it! I even went and got Ben (and me) some tiki torches. Since my little fire man is never happy just putting out fires he likes to start them to. Once the lawn is completley settled and happy we're gonna get a little fire pit and a hammock. I've got all kinds of happy herbs (tehachapi farmers market is pretty good for that) Even a type of mint that smells like chocolate mint, weird but the yummy-est thing I've ever smelled!

So at the moment all of my jeans have dirty wet spots on the knees there's usualy dirt under my finger nails and muddy foot prints in my kitchen that I try to blame on the dog but are human shaped and to small to be Bens but I found something to put time into that I enjoy so woo hoo.

Still trying to find a new job, but if all else fails I have a job offer in august so I guess that'll work. But for now my house is happy...if not a little dirty, I should try to clean the floors before Ben gets home maybe tee hee hee...
